Ebodai (Butterfish, Fresh)

Ebodai (Butterfish) is found in southern Kyushu through Hokkaido. This versatile fish is not only enjoyed as nigiri, but as himono (dried), grilled, cooked in soup, etc. Its peak season is from July through November. Average size is 0.35LB per piece, but size will vary.
