Product Description

Enjoy the Japanese delicacy Chu-Toro (medium fatty tuna) that has been hand processed by our expert butchers and trimmers. Perfect sushi grade fish for sashimi & sushi. Each saku (piece) is roughly 0.5LB per order (may vary slightly in size). All of our pieces are superfrozen at -70°F to preserve peak quality.

Japan Premium Chu-toro

Premium farm-raised bluefin tuna from southern Japan raised with the highest quality feed and individually line caught one by one. Due to it not being mass-produced or processed, this tuna is handled with extreme care. The taste is much different than any other farmed bluefin from other parts of the world. Much cleaner and mild taste.

    Ready to Eat Raw.

    Consumer Advisory: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase risk of foodborne illness especially if you have certain medical conditions.

    Recommended Conservation

    In a conventional freezer for 2-3 days.
    Once thawed, wrap in a paper towel and refrigerate for 1 day. It's best to consume immediately for the best taste. Do not refreeze after thawing.

    Shipping Information

    Shipped in insulated bag to preserve optimal temperature. Ice packs included, dry ice if necessary. Product contained in vacuum-sealed bag.

    Thawing Instruction

    -Wash the super-frozen tuna under running water.
    -Prepare 32 oz of 100°F lukewarm water with 2 tbsp of salt.
    -Submerge the tuna in the salted warm water for 1-2 minutes.
    -Pat it dry with a paper towel, then wrap it in a fresh one.
    -Continue to thaw it in the refrigerator (this takes 12 to 24 hours).
