Wagyu-Sliced Sirloin with a Japanese Onion Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:
- 1/2 onion
- 1 pack striploin slices
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon oil
- Seasoning:
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions:
- Bring beef to room temperature. Sprinkle it with salt and pepper.
- Grate the onion.
- Heat oil in a frying pan, add beef and fry over high heat until browned.
- Remove excess fat from the frying pan where the beef was sauteed. Add the onion and remainder of ingredients, bring to a boil and reduce to roughly half the amount.
- Place the beef on a plate and pour the sauce over.
