Inari Sushi
Inari skin marries deep-fried Bean Curd (Aburaage) with mirin, soy sauce, and sugar. They resemble pockets and can easily be opened and stuffed with rice. Inari Sushi is a delicious rice dish that’s easy to make and perfect for packing into bento boxes and is very popular with children. This dish is great for parties and picnics. This recipe makes 2 servings.
Ingredients:
- 8 pieces inari skin
- 2 cups of sushi rice
- 2 teaspoons of sesame seed
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 10g salt
- 4 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
Instructions:
- Wash the rice and cook according to package instructions, using slightly little less water than recommended.
- Mix together sesame seeds, sugar, salt and rice wine vinegar.
- Take the cooked rice out of the pot and into a bowl and stir to cool.
- Add the liquid mixture a little at a time and mix to make the sushi rice.
- Fill the inari skin with sushi rice and enjoy.
