Iwashi (Sardines) from Japan is another "hikarimono", or shiny skin fish. Its peak season is from August to November. It is extremely high in Omega 3. It is not only served as nigiri, but many serve it grilled and also pickle it. Each order is roughly 1.1LB, but sizes and prices will vary. Average size of Iwashi is 0.20LB/pc.
