Anago (Conger Eel) is never eaten raw, but cooked. Do not confuse Anago with Unagi. Unagi is caught in freshwater while Anago is found in saltwater. Anago tends to be leaner than Unagi and lighter in taste. Average piece weighs roughly 0.40LB per piece, but size will vary.
