Kohada (Shad) is considered to be "hikarimono", meaning silver-skinned fish in Japanese. Its season is from June to February. It has three different names depending on the age and size. Shink is the smallest, baby shad while Kohada is the second stage and when it becomes an adult, it is referred to as Nakazumi. Each order is roughly 1.1 pound, but weight will vary as it'll be based on catch weight.
