Chinese-Style Hiramasa (Yellowtail Amberjack) Carpaccio

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Hiramasa (around ½ pound)
  • ¼ red onion
  • One bunch cilantro
  • Handful peanuts
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Dressing:

    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • ⅓ teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Slice Hiramasa into thin strips,
  2. Slice the red onion, soak it in water for about 5 minutes, and drain.
  3. Tear the coriander into bite-sized pieces, and roughly chop the peanuts.
  4. Mix dressing ingredients. Mix all the ingredients but the sesame oil first, adding sesame oil only when the rest are combined.
  5. Put everything in a bowl, add dressing and enjoy.
